THE UNIVERSITY of the Philippines Visayas signed a partnership agreement with SM City Iloilo on the apprenticeship of students.

A memorandum of agreement was signed between key officials of UPV and SM City Iloilo earlier this month.

The partnership aims to immerse students in the process of recruitment and job placement, on-the-job programs, and learning sessions.

“When we train our students we are actually training them not just for the jobs that exist now but for the jobs of the future. And we cannot do this without partnerships,” UPV Chancellor Camposano said.

The Chancellor also thanked SM for the collaboration

Joining Camposano during the event were UPV Office of Student Affairs Director Prof. Agustin G. Huyong, HR Manager of SM City Iloilo Irene Caumban, and Mall Manager of SM City Iloilo Engr. Gilbert Domingo.
