UPLB PARTNERS WITH GLENVILLE STATE UNIVERSITY FOR STUDENT EXCHANGE PROGRAM

THE UNIVERSITY of the Philippines-Los Baños recently signed a memorandum of understanding with US-based Glenville State University for academic and research partnership and a student exchange program.

GSU, a public university in West Virginia, offers undergraduate and graduate programs specializing in natural resources, such as energy and land management, land surveying, and wildlife management, among others.

Chancellor Jose V. Camacho Jr. and Prof. Rico Gazal represented UPLB while senior lecturer Jacob Petry represented GSU during the signing.

Also present were faculty members of the College of Forestry and Natural Resources Dean Marlo Mendoza, Associate Dean Analyn Codilan, director of the Training Center for Tropical Resources and Ecosystems Sustainability Dr. Crusty Tino and chair of the Department of Forest Biological Sciences Dr. Marilyn Combalicer.

While in UPLB, GSU representatives conducted an in-person seminar with CFNR on the forestry landscape in West Virginia in the USA.
