/ 28 July 2023

THE UNIVERSITY of the Philippines Los Baños recently forged partnership agreements with five higher educational institutions in the country to expand its academic network.

The school signed cooperation agreements on July 11 with the Laguna State Polytechnic University and Nueva Vizcaya State University, making them the 64th and 65th academic partner institutions of UPLB, respectively.

The next day, UPLB signed agreements with the Laguna University, University of Antique, and Kolehiyo ng Lungsod ng Dasmariñas.

“Through the agreements, the UPLB and its partner HEIs will conduct capacity-building activities, including faculty and curriculum development,” the university said.

During the signing ceremony, Chancellor Jose Camacho, Jr. emphasized UPLB’s mandate as a public service university to help capacitate fellow HEIs in the country through the Office for Institutional Development in Higher Education.

“Since its establishment, the Office for Institutional Development in Higher Education has been taking charge of activities pertaining to coordination and collaborative undertakings with various HEIs in the country,” UPLB said.

Last month, UPLB also agreed to work with 10 higher educational institutions.
