UPLB HOLDS LEARNING SERIES ON SOCIO-CULTURAL, LEADERSHIP CAPABILITIES
THE UNIVERSITY of the Philippines Los Baños will hold an online learning series on selected Mondays in May, the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs said.
Dubbed “Linang Lunes,” the activity aims to enrich students’ socio-cultural and leadership capabilities.
“Linang Lunes will be 2-parts, 2-hour training or workshop in the morning (10 a.m. to 12 noon) and in the afternoon (2 p.m. to 4 p.m.) on Mondays to capitalize on the relatively free time of our students on that day,” Janette Malata-Silva, Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, said.
Attending the learning series is not mandatory but Malata-Silva encouraged students to participate in any event that interests them.
The chancellor added that the activity will serve as a preparatory event for the Student Organization Leaders’ Assembly on May 28 to 29.
The learning series include topics such as Artist Inc. on online production of creative outputs (May 10), Pinas Forward, introduction to Gen Lit! (leadership and citizenship LITeracies) (May 17), and UPLB Ugnayan ng Pahinungod, on the principles and processes of community engagement (May 24).
