UPLB GRADUATE TOPS VETERINARIAN LICENSURE EXAM
A graduate of the University of the Philippines-Los Baños topped the Veterinarian Licensure Examination, the Professional Regulation Commission said.
Gabriel Gonzaga Comota III garnered a rating of 85.36 percent.
Meanwhile, Carmela Marie Bongco Lizares, also from UPLB, came in second with a rating of 84.52 percent.
Justin Joseph Saba Gaña of De La Salle-Araneta University, Inc. ranked third with 83.96 percent.
They were followed by Jay Mart Fernando Oria of Central Luzon State University with 83.32 percent; Monica Elamparo Gacayan of Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State Univeristy-Bacnotan with 83.08 percent; and Donna Mae Nepomuceno Arriola of DLSAU with 82.80 percent.
Completing the top 10 were John Vincent Dela Cruz Mejia from CLSU (82.62); Irah Pearl Ruiz Acierto of CLSU (82.42); Denver Garcia Frigillana of DMMMSU (82.18); and Patricia Roda Wilwayco of UPLB (82.16).
The exam was held in Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Koronadal, Legazpi, and Tuguegarao last August and September 2021.
The members of the Board of Veterinary Medicine who gave the licensure examination were Dr. Ma. Elizabeth D. Calanta, chairman; and Dr Maximino N. Montenegro, member.
PRC said that only 276 out of 720 examinees passed the exam.
