A GRADUATE from the University of the Philippines Los Baños topped the Civil Engineer Licensure Examination given by the Professional Regulation Commission this month.

Carl Jervin Rivera Magtira got a rating of 95 percent.

Andrew Aren Binondo Ong and Joseph Lawrence Galletes Celeste, both from UP Diliman, placed second and third, respectively.

Ong got a score of 94 percent while Celeste had 93.95 percent.

The PRC said 8,029 out of 20,407 passed the examinations which were held in Manila, Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.

Meanwhile, the top-performing schools with 50 or more examinees and with at least an 80 percent passing rate were the UP Diliman (95.45); UP Los Baños (92.75); Surigao del Sur State University-Main Campus (89.09); Carlos A. Hilado Memorial State College – Talisay (86.21) and De La Salle University Manila (82.72).
