/ 27 June 2021

THE COMMISSION on Higher Education allowed University of Perpetual Help System Dalta to conduct limited face-to-face classes for selected allied health programs.

The university said it received a Certification of Authority from CHED recently after complying with the guidelines and health protocols to resume physical classes.

“In our commitment to provide quality education amidst these trying times, the UPHSD fully complied with the CHED-DOH guidelines and was granted a permit to conduct limited face-to- face laboratory classes of 3rd and 4th year BS Medical Technology, BS Nursing, BS Physical Therapy, and Doctor of Medicine students,” the university said.

Meanwhile, CHED also approved the request of Pines City Colleges in Baguio City to hold in- person classes.

Officials of the commission, along with representatives of the Department of Health and the city government of Baguio, inspected the retrofitted classrooms of PCC last April 8 and June 16.

“Today, Pines City College was awarded a certificate of authority to conduct limited face-to-face classes for their health priority programs. PCC is expected to perform continuous strict compliance with the guidelines as indicated on the CHED-DOH Joint Memorandum Circular No. 1 Series 2021 to ensure the safety of the returning students,” CHED said.

CHED Chief Prospero de Vera III previously said the agency has allowed at least 93 higher education institutions in 14 regions to conduct in-person classes for their medical and allied health programs.
