A NURSING student of the University of Perpetual Help Calamba Campus was named as the Commission on Higher Education 4A’s Association of Southeast Asian Nation ambassadress.

Kaye Dasco was hailed as ambassadress during the ASEAN Kickoff Ceremony at the Lyceum of the Philippines- Batangas on August 8.

Dasco bested nine other candidates from higher education institutions in CALABARZON.

During the kick-off ceremony, CHED Chairman Prospero De Vera III said that they aim to strengthen ASEAN as an organization that is “robust and agile, equipped with enhanced capacity and institutional effectiveness to remain relevant to its people, to its countries, and the region.”

He praised the region for exhibiting “tremendous growth” in its economy and culture.

“In higher education, you now see that some of the best universities in the world are coming from ASEAN,” he said.
