THE UNIVERSITY of the Philippines Diliman was hailed as the top performing school in the September 2023 Librarians Licensure Examination after achieving a 100 percent passing rate.

All examinees from UP’s School of Library and Information Studies passed the test.

UPD is the only school that obtained a perfect passing rate. The university has had a constant 100 percent passing rate for the past nine years.

“UPD is number one among the four top performing schools for this round, and the only one with a 100% passing rate. Top performing schools must have fielded 20 or more examinees and attained at least an 80% passing rate,” the university said.

Five of the 21 UPD passers secured a spot in the Top 10. Lemuel Solano was in fifth place with a rating of 88.05%. He was followed by Arvin Jason Aquino and Dominique de Guzman in sixth place after garnering 87.85% rating. Albert Joriz Nardo placed eighth with an 87.5% rating, and Christine Joy Manongsong was in 10th place, getting an 87.35% rating.

In 2015, UPD secured the most number of placements after clinching 7 spots out of the Top 10.
