UP WEBINAR TO TACKLE SAFETY OF JOURNALISTS

THE UNIVERSITY of the Philippines’ College of Mass Communication Foundation will hold a webinar on the safety of journalists and media in times of crisis.

The webinar will be held on November 4 at 2 p.m. via Google Meet (meet.google.com/gvv-yjxe-zma).

Among the speakers are Nonoy Espina, the president of the National Union of Journalists of the Philippines and Red Batario, executive director of the Center for Community Journalism and Development.

Ariel Sebellino, executive director of the Philippine Press Institute, Inc. will be the moderator.

Espina will discuss preparing for Safe Crisis Coverage while Batario will tackle Journalist Protection in the Time of Disruption and Disinformation.

The UPCMCFI organized the webinar in partnership with the Philippine Press Institute and the Philippine Social Science Council and with the support of the Nickel Asia Corporation.
