UP VISAYAS RECOGNIZES 6 TEACHING, NON-TEACHING PERSONNEL

SIX TEACHING and non-teaching staff of the University of the Philippines’ College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences received the 2021 UPV Chancellor’s Awards for Outstanding Performance and Achievement.

Associate Professor Victor Marco Emmanuel Ferriols bagged the Most Outstanding Achievement in Public Service while Prof. Jose Peralta received the Most Outstanding Achievement in Research. Meanwhile, Feby Carmen was given the Most Outstanding Performance award and Ruby Napata claimed the Most Outstanding Performance of Research.

Mary Ann Serrano received the Most Outstanding Performance in Administrative Personnel-Salary Grade 7-10 while April Javellana got the Most Outstanding Performance in Administrative Personnel-Salary Grade 4-6.

“They were chosen by the UPV Committee constituted for selecting the awardees for outstanding performance and achievement from January 1, 2018 to June 30, 2020. Each year, the UPV gives due appreciation and recognition to the faculty members, REPS, and administrative personnel for exemplary work performance and achievement,” UPV said.

“A cash award and plaque of recognition were given to the awardees. They were joined by three other awardees from the College of Arts and Sciences, namely Prof. Wilfredo Campos for outstanding professor, Assoc. Prof. Kevin Piamonte for outstanding achievement in creative arts and Hannah Liza Novesteros for outstanding admin staff- SG 11 and above non-supervisory,” it added.

Since 2018, the university said 24 employees of the CFOS, under the leadership of Dean Yap, have been recognized by the UPV.

UPV named five personnel of CFOS as recipients of the various awards given under the University’s Chancellor’s Awards for Outstanding Performance and Achievement in 2018, eight in 2019, and five in 2020.
