NINETY-TWO percent of the frontline workers of the University of the Philippines Visayas had received their first shot of Covid19 vaccine.

Those who were inoculated were personnel of the Health Services Unit assigned to Miagao and Iloilo City campuses.

“The UPV personnel received their first dose of the Sinovac Covid19 vaccine. The security guards and the janitorial staff who are stationed at HSU Miagao also got vaccinated,” UPV said.

“The second dose of the vaccine will be administered four weeks after the first dose,” it added.

UPV said there were no reports of adverse effects.

UPV thanked the local government unit and the rural health unit of Miagao and the Iloilo City Health Office for providing them with vaccines.
