UP TOPS 25 PH UNIVERSITIES IN 2025 QS ASIA RANKINGS DESPITE SLIGHT DROP

THE University of the Philippines continues to lead Philippine institutions in the 2025 QS Asia University Rankings, affirming its position as the country’s top university.

With an overall score of 60.6, UP is ranked 86th among over 900 universities across Asia, though it slipped from its previous 78th position.

Following UP are the other members of the Philippines’ “Big Four”, which also saw slight declines in ranking.

Ateneo de Manila University dropped from 137th to 142nd, De La Salle University from 154th to 163rd, and the University of Santo Tomas from 179th to 181st.

This year marks a significant milestone for several regional universities making their debut in the rankings.

First-time entrants include Central Mindanao University, Cebu Technological University, Central Luzon State University, Central Philippine University, West Visayas State University, Angeles University Foundation, University of Southeastern Philippines, University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines, and University of Southern Mindanao.

Meanwhile, China’s Peking University maintains its standing as the top university in Asia, securing the highest overall score of 100.
