THE UNIVERSITY of the Philippines was ranked as one of the world’s best universities for medical studies by the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2021.

UP Medicine ranked 126-150 in THE WUR 2021, repeating its ranking in the 2020 and 2019 editions after its initial entry in the list at 201-250 in 2018.

THE WUR Subject Rankings published on October 28, 2020, listed the Philippines’ premier state university in the top 856 universities for clinical, pre-clinical, and health studies. Colleges from more than 50 countries were ranked.

UP Medicine was given an overall score of 94 in citations, 43.4 in international outlook, 42.2 in industry income, 22.8 in teaching, and 11.9 in research.

THE WUR Medicine Ranking uses the same methodology as the World University Rankings, but it puts more weight on citations and less on teaching and research metrics.

Times Higher Education ranked the University of the Philippines as Asia’s Top 95 and Southeast Asia’s 4th best university.
