UP MASSCOM ACCEPTS ENTRIES FOR ITS PLARIDEL JOURNAL

THE COLLEGE of Mass Communication of the University of the Philippines said it is now accepting entries for the June 2021 issue of its Plaridel Journal.

The topic is about “Depicting Gender.”

The June issue of the Plaridel seeks to bring together studies which focus on the coverage, portrayal, articulation, representation, negotiation, or construction of gender in various forms, genres, and levels of communication and media.

Interested contributors must submit articles with a high degree of scholarship.

All manuscripts must have a minimum of 5,000 and maximum of 10,000 words and must be written with proper citations using the American Psychological Association style.

Meanwhile, reviews must have 1,500-5,000 words and can be written in English or Filipino. They must also have an abstract of 100 to 150 words.

Abstracts for contributions written in Filipino must be written in English. The abstract should also be accompanied by 5 keywords.

The deadline for the submission of full papers is on January 24.

Plaridel is an open-access journal that is indexed in Scopus, EBSCO information Services, the Emerging Sources Citation Index of Clarivate Analytics, and the ASEAN Citation Index.
