The University of the Philippines Los Baños will confer academic degrees on 813 undergraduate and 223 master’s and doctorate students this year.

UPLB Class of 2021 is led by magna cum laude Kassel Clarisse Kraft of the BS Development Communication program.

The university said two students each from the master’s and doctoral degree levels will receive academic excellence awards, while four each will be recipients of academic achievement awards.

“Twenty-five of the candidates for undergraduate degrees will graduate with cum laude and three with magna cum laude distinction,” it added.

Ronald Daniel Mascariñas, UPLB alumnus and business leader in the food industry, will be the guest speaker at the virtual graduation rites of the undergraduate students on August 6.

Meanwhile, UP Baguio Chancellor Corazon Lumbera-Abansi will serve as the commencement speaker at the UPLB Graduate School Hooding Ceremony on August 7.
