THE UNIVERSITY of the Philippines-Diliman called for participants for a webinar about fighting for Academic Freedom through Artistic Expression.

The webinar, titled “Usapang KP: Mga Artista ng Bayan: Pak Ganern!” will feature UP alumni from different sectors and spheres of society and will be held on February 11, 2021 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Malou Mangahas, co-founder and board member of the Philippine Center for Investigative Journalism and co-convenor of Right to Know, Right Now Coalition, will serve as moderator of the event.

Philippine Educational Theater Association and artist Liza Magtoto will be the co-moderator.

The webinar’s panelists are Dr. Nicanor Tiongson, Film Professor Emeritus of the UP-Diliman’s College of Mass Communication, writer and director Bibeth Orteza and Dr. Glecy Atienza, professor at the university’s Departmento ng Filipino at Panitikan ng Pilipinas and founding chairman of ALYANSA.
