UP DROPS IN ASIAN UNIVERSITY RANKINGS
THE UNIVERSITY of the Philippines dropped a few notches from its previous rankings while the De La Salle University maintained its spot in the Times Higher Education Asian Rankings 2022.
THE UNIVERSITY of the Philippines dropped a few notches from its previous rankings while the De La Salle University maintained its spot in the Times Higher Education Asian Rankings 2022.
The DLSU remained in the 401 to 500 bracket.
UP and DLSU were the only schools from the Philippines that placed in the 2022 list of THE, which ranked 616 higher education institutions (HEIs) from 31 territories in Asia.
To make the list, HEIs are assessed based on 13 performance indicators that are grouped into five areas: teaching, research, citations, international outlook and income industry.
The Ateneo de Manila University was listed as a “reporter” in the rankings.
This status indicates that a school is an active participant in the rankings process, even if it has not been ranked.
The top 10 universities in the Asia for 2022 are:

- Peking University (China)
- National University of Singapore
- University of Hong Kong
- Nanyang Technological University (Singapore)
- The University of Tokyo (Japan)
- Chinese University of Hong Kong
- Seoul National University (South Korea)
- The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology
- Fudan University (China)
