UP DILIMAN OKS GUIDELINES FOR LIMITED F2F CLASSES
AFTER a thorough discussion with all education stakeholders, University of the Philippines Diliman Chancellor Fidel Nemenzo has approved the guidelines on the conduct of limited face-to-face classes in other degree programs.
“Since October 2020, UPD has been working with the Commission on Higher Education, Department of Health, Quezon City local government, UPD-Covid19 Task Force, concerned deans, parents, and students for limited F2F classes,” the university said in an advisory.
Only 338 graduating students from six colleges may join the gradual resumption of onsite learning.
These were the Colleges of Engineering, Science, Social Work and Community Development, Home Economics, Music, and the Archeological Studies Program.
UPD noted that participation in physical classes is not compulsory.
“Among the 338 learners, only those who signified readiness to participate will be allowed to attend F2F,” it said.
Meanwhile, the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs is set to conduct consultations with more than 2,000 students on the expansion phase of in-person classes.
Earlier, CHED Chairman Prospero De Vera III said universities and colleges may start conducting limited physical classes in all degree programs in December.
However, educational institutions should ensure that all students and faculty are vaccinated against Covid19 and minimum health protocols are followed.
