THE UNIVERSITY of the Philippines’ College of Law said it will start accepting applications for its scholarship program next month.

The application period is from July 1 to July 30, 2023 only for Academic Year 2023-2024.

Once accepted, a scholar may receive full tuition and miscellaneous fees, an internet and book allowance amounting to P10,000 and a monthly stipend for three to four months amounting to P10,000 a month.

“The approval of applications for the Regular Scholarship is determined primarily based on need, and academic merit is only a secondary consideration,” the college said.

“Applicants that face serious economic, personal, and family dynamics or situations (especially those aggravated by the current pandemic) that hamper their study of law are given priority over other cases,” it added.

The totality of the factors provided in the application will be considered for the scholarship.

The selection is made through the examination of the applicant’s Application Form, Income Tax Return, Asset Form, SFA/STS Results, Diversity, Background Checks/ Validation and phone call interviews.
