UP CHEMICAL ENGINEERING FACULTY PRESENT RESEARCH PAPERS AT INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE

CHEMICAL engineering professors of the University of the Philippines Visayas School of Technology presented their research papers at the International Conference on Engineering Education- Philippines held last December.

Those who attended the event held at the De La Salle University in Manila were Jeraldine Calangi, John Salvador Ricacho, and John Loui Tadia.

Ricacho presented his paper titled “UPV SOTECH Experience: Remote Delivery of Chemical Engineering Laboratory Course during COVID-10 Pandemic.”

Calangi’s work was titled “Chemical Engineering Laboratory Skills Training: Bridging the Gap between Remote Learning and Face-to-Face Industry Immersion.”

The papers covered best practices, delivery methods and recommendations for improving chemical engineering laboratory and internship courses during the Covid19 pandemic.

The ICEE-Phil brings together engineering educators from the Philippines and other countries to promote knowledge exchange and the dissemination of best practices for better engineering education

This year’s event had the theme “Breaking Through the New Challenges in Engineering Education,” and was hosted by the Philippine Association of Engineering Schools, Inc.
