UP CEBU STUDENTS ASK OFFICIALS TO RELEASE GUIDELINES ON F2F CLASSES

/ 8 July 2022

STUDENTS of the University of the Philippines Cebu asked school officials to release the guidelines for the implementation of face-to-face classes for the next academic year.

In a letter addressed to UPC officials, the University Student Council said students need to plan their lodging, transportation and other expenses before face-to-face classes resumes.

“The Academic Year 2022-2023 is fast approaching for the UP System, including UP Cebu. With that being said, the student body is left with queries about UP Cebu Administration’s plans in retrofitting the curriculum and facilities that would cater the needs of the whole academic institution,” USC said.

Last month, Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama signed Executive Order No. 174 that allowed all educational and training institutions to conduct in-person classes at all levels up to their full and safe accommodation capacity.

The EO also encouraged students, teachers and nonteaching staff of schools to get vaccinated.

“All persons are enjoined to carry out a shared responsibility in the maintenance and promotion of a safe and healthy place and environment on the road to full economic recovery,” Rama said.
