UNIVERSITY OF SAN CARLOS STUDENTS WIN IN NAT’L PHARMACY QUIZ BEE
PHARMACY students from the University of San Carlos bagged their first championship in the National Pharmacy Quiz Bee held this month.
Stan Matthew Taylaran, Joshua Miles Magsambol, Zach Uriel Cabije and Charmae Cristireign Galo bested 68 students from 17 schools in the country.
They were mentored by faculty member Lorraine Tagle, Department of Pharmacy Undergraduate Program Coordinator Micah Areja, and Dean of the School of Health Care Professions Dr. Gerard Lee See.
“The students’ success at the national scene displays the Carolinian core value of excellence and affirms the quality of the teaching-learning process at the USC Department of Pharmacy,” the school said.
“As the winning school, USC will host the contest in the succeeding year,” it added.
Themed “Intelligence Unleashed: Pharmacy Excellence through Exceptional Lifelong Knowledge” the quiz bee was organized by the Junior Philippine Pharmacists Association-Fellowship Baptist College Chapter and the Federation of Junior Chapters of the Philippine Pharmacist Association.
