STUDENTS of the University of San Carlos-College of Law were named Best Respondent Team in the Philip Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition.

The team members were Mary Angie Ecto, Crisha Weigel, Priyanka Dalagan, Edward Dominic Emilio, Michelle Anne Vargas and Renzo Zapata. Its head coach Atty. Daryl Bretch Largo.

The students bagged various awards such as Octo-Finalist, ranked 7th in the Advanced Rounds and 5th Best Respondent Memorial.

The USC team competed with more than 600 law schools.

USC said that the team has always scored victories in past World Cups of Mooting.

The competition is a simulation of a fictional dispute between countries before the International Court of Justice, the judicial organ of the United Nations.
