AN INTERIOR Design student of the University of San Carlos in Cebu won two awards in different categories at the Design Excellence Awards 2022.

Basil Rico Gahi won silver for his work “Kaharuhay Mountain Resort” under the Best Hospitality Design, while another piece, “Pabukid Restaurant” got the Bronze Award for the Best Food and Beverage Design category.

IDCS’ Design Excellence Awards honors the interior design industry and its institutional landscapes.

A total of 84 for entries was received by the organizers this year.

The event was organized by Interior Design Confederation Singapore and was held in Shangri-La Hotel in Singapore.

“The SPADE award winners today are our young emerging designers that will become our industry leaders of tomorrow and IDCS wishes them all the best for their bright and exciting future careers in Interior Design,” IDCS president Cameron Woo said.
