THE DEAN of the School of Education of the University of San Carlos was appointed as a new member of the Catholic Education Association of the Philippines Research and Development Committee for 2022-2023.

Dean Richard Jugar will work as a member of the core group on research projects aimed to boost its programs, initiatives and advocacy efforts.

He will also contribute to the formulation of policies and programs relative to Catholic education as well as to the strategic direction and monitoring of work plans.

Jugar is also a full-time professor and active researcher at the USC.

In 2018, he was appointed to the National Basic Education Commission when he was the USC Basic Education Director.

He obtained his Ph.D. in Education from USC.
