UNIVERSITY OF NORTHERN PHILIPPINES LAUNCHES FIRST RESEARCH JOURNAL
TO PROMOTE the culture of research, the University of Northern Philippines launched the first volume of its Asian Journal of Education and Human Development.
The journal contains 17 scholarly written articles on different research areas.
Dr. Aldrin Jaramilla, the editor-in-chief, said that the journal was a project of the University Research and Development Office in collaboration with the university’s Office of the Vice President for Research and Extension.
“AJEHD aims to promote the culture of research by stressing the critical importance of group and individual undertakings through an open forum for discussion within theoretical, empirical and critical perspectives, thereby providing the stimuli to produce new knowledge and insights,” Jaramilla said.
He added that the project seeks to expose local researchers to new perspectives, become part of a wider network of scholars, and be more visible on a broader plane.
