UNIVERSITY OF MINDANAO INKS PARTNERSHIP WITH EPSON PH
THE University of Mindanao has inked a partnership agreement with the Epson Philippines.
A memorandum of agreement was signed by and between key officials of UM and EP.
The collaboration aims to explore partnership activities such as student and job offer opportunities, especially for the Engineering programs.
“As a global technology leader, Epson creates and delivers technology solutions for businesses and consumers, from inkjet printers and digital printing systems to 3LCD projectors, smart glasses, sensing systems and industrial robots,” UM said.
“The company is focused on driving innovations and exceeding customer expectations in inkjet, visual communications, wearables and robotics,” it added.
Meanwhile, UM top officials recently visited the Seibu Group of Companies, which operates the Seibu Group of Hotels Worldwide at Ikebukuro, Toshima-ku, Tokyo, Japan, for academic exchange programs.
UM President Dr. Guillermo Torres Jr. met and discussed with Mr. Atsushi Omori of Seibu to bolster the international internship and employment opportunities of UM students in the field of hospitality management and engineering.
“The Japan trip likewise allows UM officials to visit UM students deployed in various Seibu hotels in Japan for their OJT,” the university said.
