UNIVERSITY OF CEBU AGAIN ALLOWED TO OFFER TESDA PROGRAMS
THE TECHNICAL Education and Skills Development Authority has allowed the University of Cebu to open TESDA-accredited training and assessment programs that were halted because of the pandemic.
TESDA Region VII Provincial Director Floro Ringca gave the green light after visiting the school’s main campus as well as those in Lapu-Lapu, Mandaue, Banilad.
“Seeing that everything is in place and conformant to IATF safety and health protocols, the provincial director announced that all TESDA-accredited programs of the university can now resume operations,” the university said.
UC Banilad’s Technical Education Training and Assessment Account Manager Engr. Rogelio Lansa said that the inspection will pave the way for more NC II TESDA holders in Cebu.
“We are excited for this development. We are glad that the provincial director himself visited us,” Lansa said.
Dr. Grayfield Bajao, account manager of UCLM and UC Main, also welcomed TESDA’s decision.
“As a responsible and efficient partner of TESDA’s mission, University of Cebu has always been conformant to the agency’s guidelines in providing technical education and skills development of the Filipino workforce. This is by offering trainings and assessments of the most demanded competencies both locally and internationally,” Bajao said.
