UNIVERSITY OF BAGUIO UNVEILS SCHEDULE OF ACADEMIC BREAKS

/ 7 November 2021

THE UNIVERSITY of Baguio announced the dates of academic breaks it will implement to help students cope with distance learning.

On Saturday, UB said that no classes and work will be conducted on November 27 to 30.

Graduate and Law School, however, are not covered by the break on the 27th and 28th, respectively.

There will be no school works as well on December 18 to January 4, in line with the university break.

“The UB management has always championed for the mental, physical, social and spiritual wellness of our students, faculty, and employees. Their welfare remains our priority,” UB said in a statement.

“(UB) has heard the requests from its stakeholder and we will continue to provide an opportunity for students, faculty, and employees to enjoy academic ease and use the time freely to communicate, relax, refresh, and recharge,” it added.

Student-leaders from Baguio schools petitioned local government unit for the implementation of a city-wide break to give the students a breather.

Some students welcomed the announcement, noting their request has been heeded.
