THE UNIVERSITY of Antique signed an agreement with the Department of Health in Region 6 for a feeding program in a bid to curb malnutrition in the province.

The partnership aims to feed malnourished children with a blend of mung beans or monggo and rice.

The university said that similar programs in Aklan, Iloilo and Guimaras were proven effective to combat malnutrition.

It added that the program will also provide employment.

The UA and DOH will also partner with the Department of Science and Technology in tapping communities for the preparation of the mongo blend.
