THE UNIVERSIDAD de Zamboanga has rolled out its pediatric vaccination against Covid19 for minors residing in Region 9.

In a Facebook post on Thursday, UZ said that 229 children aged 12 to 17 have received their first dose.

Prior to the vaccination, the school held an orientation online.

Those vaccinated included athletes, high school students and dependents of employees.

Student volunteers assisted the vaccination team.

“UZ ventures to increase the number of people vaccinated, improve awareness, and build vaccine trust to protect against the virus to achieve herd immunity,” the university said.
