/ 15 February 2021

THE UNIVERSIDAD De Zamboanga enhanced its anti-drug campaign by conducting random drug-testing among its employees.

A total of 185 employees were tested. The campaign was carried out through the Human Resources and the Safety, Health and Environment departments.

The school also conducted an orientation on drug awareness and prevention.

The university’s Drug Assessment team reported that the results will determine the level of care and administrative interventions that can be extended to the concerned employees.

The random drug test was conducted in compliance with Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Act of 2002.

The university said that it implements a “Drug-Free Workplace Program” to maintain a healthy and safe environment for students, faculty and other personnel.
