UNIBERSIDAD DE MANILA STUDENTS GET FREE GADGETS
THE CITY government of Manila donated more than a thousand tablets worth P8.8 million to indigent students of the Unibersidad de Manila.
Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso along with Vice Mayor Maria Shielah “Honey” Lacuna-Pangan on Thursday, September 24, turned over Samsung Galaxy A tablets to UdM President Maria Lourdes “Malou” Tiquia.
Domagoso said he is aware of the challenges faced by poor students.
The money used to procure the gadgets came from the talent fees paid to the mayor for appearing in advertisements of companies such as Chooks to Go, Power Tools, IAM Worldwide Coffee, Fruitas, Cosmic Technologies Incorporated and Better Option Pharmaceutical.
