UERM COLLEGE OF NURSING ANNOUNCES ACADEMIC BREAK
THE COLLEGE of Nursing of the University of the East-Ramon Magsaysay campus announced a four-day academic break to give students and staff time to recover from the effects of typhoon Rolly.
A memorandum issued by the CON said that synchronous and asynchronous class activities will be suspended from November 4 to 7.
“Synchronous and asynchronous class activities in the UERM CON are suspended from 04-07 November 2020, to give way to the request for an Academic Break for the anticipation of the Typhoon Siony and recovery from the Super typhoon Rolly,” it said.
Meanwhile, the student councils of the University of the East-Manila appealed to the UE administration to also suspend synchronous and asynchronous classes from November 4 to 7 to help students recover from the damage caused by the typhoon
In a letter addressed to UE President Ester Garcia, the student leaders also called for the postponement of the online midterm examinations rescheduled to November 4 and 5 due to typhoon Quinta.
Loss of electricity and lack of internet access were among the issues raised by the student councils.
Typhoon Rolly battered parts of the country on November 1, affecting over two million people.
