UE TOURISM STUDENTS PRESENT RESEARCH PAPER IN INT’L YOUTH CONFERENCE

TOURISM students from the University of the East-Caloocan presented their research paper during the 14th Asia-Pacific Council on Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Education International Youth Conference.

They are Micah Jackson, Stephanie Inocellas, Gezel Mabolo, Daniella Marie Santos, Clikenn Matbatan, and Cshaira Angela Del Rosario.

Their study, titled “CAMANAVA’s Senior Citizen’s Travel Decisions: Motivations and Other Related Factors,” identified and statistically tested the factors associated with the travel motivations and travel decisions of senior citizens residing in Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas and Valenzuela in the hopes of helping the industry better cater to this growing market.

Dr. Mary Ann Navarette-Rosalejos served as the research adviser of the students.

The conference was a two-day celebration of the “4Ns—Now, Next and New Normal” of tourism and hospitality, with creativity meeting technology for the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

Academics, professionals and graduate students from the Asia Pacific region and other parts of the world experienced the Filipino brand of hospitality while presenting and sharing their research.
