UE TO HOLD F2F GRADUATION RITES
GRADUATING students of the University of the East can look forward to face-to-face graduation rites this year, its president, Ester Garcia, said.
Garcia said that in-person graduation rites will be in late June for basic education and mid-July for the tertiary level.
The ceremonies will be held in campus.
“This is to ensure flexibility in case the health situation changes,” Garcia said.
“Considering that we do not have such big venues in campus, we have to plan very well to still allow for physical distancing and ensure our safety and that of out guests,” she added.
After two years of virtual graduation rites, the Department of Education announced in March the resumption of the conduct of in-person end-of-school-year rites in areas under Alert Level 1 and 2.
The DepEd said that schools located in areas under Alert Level 3, 4, and 5 will hold virtual EOSY rites. Schools may broadcast live the ceremonies through their social media platforms.
