UE STUDENT SLAMS ABSENTEE PROFESSOR
A STUDENT of the University of The East-Manila expressed concern over the behavior of her professor during online classes.
Mary Hafalla, a third year Management Accounting student, let out her complaints on Facebook.
“Ni hindi nga po siya nagtuturo nang maayos. Eighty to ninety percent of our class, kuwatro ang nakuha na grade. Inireklamo na ‘yong prof [at] kinausap namin siya nang maayos pero hindi niya kino-consider ang reason namin,” Hafalla said in her post.
She added that the professor was also absent for a long time.
“After prelim[s], hindi na namin sya na-meet. We don’t even know the exact number of sections or student na lumapit sa UE para magreklamo pero nagpasa-pasa lang at wala rin napala. Tapos biglang sasabihin may sakit daw ‘yung prof [kaya] hindi pumapasok,” she said.
Hafalla said that students also raised the issue with the faculty but they got no response.
She said that her class is drafting a formal complaint to be sent to the school’s College of Business Administration and the CBA Student Council.
The identity of the professor being complained of is temporarily withheld pending formal complaint to be filed against him before the UE administration.
