A STUDENT from the University of the East-Caloocan died after jumping off a building inside the school.

A report from the official student publication UE Dawn said that a senior high school student jumped off the 9th floor of the Lucio Tan Building on Monday morning.

It added that the staff of the university’s security office rushed the victim to the Manila Central University Hospital but the student succumbed to his injuries at 10:30 a.m.

UE Dawn also reported that authorities are looking at the angle of suicide as the victim left notes for his loved ones.

The university is yet to release a statement regarding the matter.

Meanwhile, students of UE and concerned netizens aired their condolences to the family of the late student.
