UNIVERSITY of the East President Zosimo Battad extended his sincerest Season’s Greetings to the whole community in an official statement last December 15 on UE’s official Facebook page.

The president said that the celebration of Christmas for the UE community has become significant after the school hosted the University Athletic Association of the Philippines Season 86.

“The success of Season 86 is not only a standard the next host school will need to outdo, it will also require us in UE to outdo the next time we are the season host of this premier sporting league,” Battad said.

He thanked all of the people who contributed to various successes of the university including the UAAP Season 86, the University’s 77th Foundation Anniversary with the theme of “Fueling Future Success Stories”, and the inauguration of the university’s new building, the Lualhati Building.

Battad also stated that the university has been able to exercise the Flexible UE Learning (fUEl), which provides versatility in providing quality education despite the COVID-19 pandemic and other disruptions that have come to the university for the last 12 months.

The president hopes that the community will get the rest and the recharging that the whole university deserves and needs.

“The learnings we might derive from our many Yuletide holiday interactions can even be as significant as the theories, formulas, and concepts we labor on in our classrooms and in our offices,” he stated.

“I hope that blessings and delight can be shared from all of us who are from the East—the University of the East!” President Battad said.
