UE CALOOCAN CHANCELLOR PLEDGES INTERNET DONATION TO STUDENTS

/ 2 September 2020

UNIVERSITY of the East Caloocan Chancellor Zosimo Battad has pledged P10,000 to aid the initiative of Central Student Council’s free internet load and data SIM card to students.

“We are all adopting. This is not normal for all of us. Yung worries natin have to be turned into positive attitude,” Battad said.

Last August, the CSC launched a project called “Data Mo, Sagot Ng Konseho” to help students without stable internet connection for online learning this semester.

The project now has 23 beneficiaries who will each receive 16GB of monthly data for the whole semester, according to CSC President Saida Manap.

The council has encouraged UE students in need of mobile data for online learning to contact their Facebook page or any of its officers, Manap said.

Manap stressed that those who want to help more students cope with the demands of online learning may course cash donations of any amount.
