OFFICIALS of the University of Batangas visited the University of the Philippines Open University to discuss collaboration in open and distance education.

UB Distance Education Department Director Carl Ivan Villanueva led the delegation on June 22.

UPOU Chancellor Melinda dela Peña Bandalaria, accompanied by Dr. Myra Almodiel, director of Office of Public Affair and Margaret Jarmin Suarez, Program Development associate for Institutional Linkages, facilitated the discussion.

They shared UPOU’s practices, methodologies and affiliations with various partner institutions and consortia.

UB thanked UPOU for widening their knowledge in open education.
