UA&P PARTNERS WITH DUALTECH TRAINING CENTER
THE University of Asia and the Pacific has partnered with the Dualtech Training Center in Calamba City, Laguna for Information and communication technology education.
The partnership was made possible through the Department of Information Science and Technology of the School of Sciences and Engineering.
A memorandum of understanding was signed recently between key officials of UA&P and Dualtech.
The agreement will provide information and communication technology (ICT) education to Dualtech’s electromechanical students as part of their technical-vocational program.
“The partnership aims to pursue research, training, and development initiatives that will elevate the quality of the delivery of technical and vocational education and training services in the field of ICT while strengthening the technical and vocational education and training ecosystem of both UA&P and Dualtech,” UA&P said.
Established in 1982, Dualtech Center pioneered the German Dual Training System in the country, where the school and industry train students in real-life work experience.
The center trains over a thousand scholars from the poor sectors of society each year and partners with over a hundred companies to train them for eventual employment.
