THE UNIVERSITY of Antique and the Bari Potter’s Association received funding for a livelihood project from the Department of Labor and Employment.

The Labor department turned over checks worth P498,544 to the university on February 16, 2023.

The turn-over ceremony was led by UA President Dr. Pablo S. Crespo Jr. and Ma. Cecilia S. Acebuque of the DOLE Antique Field Office.

The project dubbed “UA-Bari Potters’ Integrated Livelihood Project” aims to help potters in the province.

Dr. May T. Delgado, vice president for Research, Extension, Continuing Education, and Training Services said that the funding will help expand the pottery in the region.

“Let us hope that through this project, we will be able to strengthen pottery as means of livelihood for people,” Delgado said.
