TWO CANDIDATES VYING FOR USTP CLAVERIA CAMPUS CHANCELLOR
THE UNIVERSITY of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines unveiled two candidates for the position of next chancellor of its Claveria campus.
The two are Dr. Renato Ortiz Arazo, designated as Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs of USTP Claveria, and Dr. Ruvel Jongko Cuasito Sr., designated as Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs of USTP Cagayan de Oro.
Arazo obtained his Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering at the University of the Philippines Diliman. He’s a professor of USTP and visiting scholar at Texas A&MM University in the United States.
Cuasito, on the other hand, obtained his Ph.D. in Technology Education at the then Mindanao University of Science and Technology, now USTP, and is a licensed professional electronics engineer. He’s a full professor at Debre Markos University, Ethiopia, Africa in the Electrical and Computer Engineering program.
A panel interview for the candidates is set June 30 and July 1, respectively.
A public forum will also be held, to be live-streamed via USTP’s Facebook page.
The next chancellor will serve for four years and will supersede Dr. Rosalito Quirino for the position.
