TRINITY U OF ASIA AMONG TOP PRIVATE SCHOOLS IN ASEAN PRIVATE UNIVERSITY RANKING

/ 9 January 2024

THE TRINITY University of Asia secured a spot in the 2024 AppliedHE Private University: ASEAN ranking.

TUA ranked 30th in the Southeast Asian region and 5th in the Philippines.

“The university is excited to have joined the prestigious international ranking for the first time! This marks a big step for us in the world of rankings. Despite it being our first attempt, we are genuinely thrilled by the positive outcome,” it said.

“These rankings serve as a humbling acknowledgment of our commitment to academic excellence and our dedication to growth across all learning areas,” it added.

The AppliedHE Public and Private University Ranking: ASEAN uses a ranking system that evaluates institutions’ performance based on several dimensions.

These include the quality of teaching and learning, research, community engagement, internationalization, and institutional reputation.

AppliedHE was founded in Singapore and positions itself to be “a globally oriented higher education evaluation and branding company that is rooted in Asia.”

It has been compiling university rankings since 2021, intending to provide students, parents, and other higher education stakeholders with an independent benchmark for comparing universities.

For the 2023 edition of the ranking, many significant changes are being made, namely the inclusion of reporting and non-reporting universities (non-reporting universities do not submit data), and the production of two sub-rankings, one for public universities and one for private universities.
