TMTC RECEIVES SPONSORSHIP FOR JOURNALISM SCHOLARS
THE MANILA Times College has received sponsorship from SM Foundation for its Journalism and Broadcasting scholars.
The foundation signed a Memorandum of Understanding with The Manila Times College to include the school’s journalism courses in its scholarship program.
Scholars supported by the SMFI will get free tuition and monthly allowance.
During their semester and Christmas breaks, they may also participate in enrichment programs and engage in part-time work.
Debbie Sy, the executive director of the SMFI, praised journalists for their contribution to society by giving accurate and timely information.
“We acknowledge the vital role of journalists and communicators alike in spreading news to the public,” Sy said.
“Through those social good stories, we hope to ignite the passion and aspirations of our stakeholders to also spread kindness in their own ways — touching and improving the lives of Filipinos one social good program at a time,” she added.
