TIP TO RESUME FULL F2F CLASSES

/ 6 December 2022

THE TECHNOLOGICAL Institute of the Philippines will resume full face-to-face classes in the second semester of Academic Year 2022-2023.

The school said the move was in accordance with the memorandum issued by the banning of full distance learning starting next semester.

“TIP shall be returning to FULL TERM FACE-TO-FACE modality for college students starting on the 2nd Semester of SY 2022-2023,” TIP wrote on Facebook.

TIP President Dr. Elizabeth Quirino-Lahoz encouraged students and faculty to prepare for in-person learning and teaching.

CHED Chairman Prospero De Vera III issued the memorandum to allow “the transitioning to the safe return to physical campuses and bringing back learners to school.”

“Unless there is an approval from the Commission on Higher Education, an HEI cannot offer its recognized degree programs in full distance learning delivery including online modality,” the commission said.

“For HEI’s that will opt to deliver their degree programs in hybrid learning modality, at least 50% of the total contact time should be spent on onsite learning experiences,” it added.
