THE TECHNOLOGICAL Institute of the Philippines will offer a new course beginning Academic Year 2022-2023 — BS in Data Science and Analytics.

BSDSA is a four-year program designed to equip students with theoretical, practical, and comprehensive knowledge to manage and analyze complex data.

It covers fundamental and advanced computer programming, predictive modeling, machine learning, statistical techniques, algorithms, methodologies, business intelligence, data visualization and its applications across multiple disciplines.

In 2020, the university launched Metro Manila’s first-ever Professional Science Master’s Degree in Data Science.

“The substantial number of enrollees we’ve had for PSMDS is not only a confirmation that the market is informed and keenly aware of the growing need for data scientists; it’s also an affirmation of the relevance of the program. We, therefore, deemed it necessary to offer BSDSA,” Dr. Elizabeth Quirino-Lahoz, TIP President, said.

To ensure global competitiveness, TIP benchmarked its BSDSA curriculum with top universities abroad.

“Data scientists are among the most in-demand professionals in the world today. With big data having a tremendous impact on how industries make major decisions, we need experts who can analyze and translate these numbers into positive business outcomes,” Quirino-Lahoz said.

Application and enrollment for BSDSA is now open. For more information about the program, visit
