TIP TO CONTINUE WITH FLEXIBLE LEARNING

/ 8 August 2022

THE TECHNOLOGICAL Institute of the Philippines will implement two teaching and learning modalities for its college students for Academic Year 2022-2023.

Students of non-board courses will have their classes fully online while those enrolled in critical board courses will use the hyflex modality under which classes will be in-person, but with an exception for students with valid reasons to attend sessions remotely.

“The decision comes from having a flexible mindset. If there is one thing that the pandemic taught us, it’s to continuously explore new ways to deliver education. We remain to be open to the different possibilities so learning can be more inclusive,” Dr. Elizabeth Quirino-Lahoz, TIP president, said.

The school said that most of the courses will be delivered through modular approach to be completed for six weeks.

However, some identified professional courses will be delivered within 18 weeks.

To protect the community, the school required students and faculty members to be fully vaccinated and should wear the right face masks to be allowed entry on campus.

Minimum public health standards such as physical distancing and setting up of several hygiene stations inside school premises will also be implemented.
